WorldOfTarot®.com wants to become an exemplar in setting a standard for what a website should be. When you were a kid you may have wished to go away into your own world, and possibly you were even been accused of ‘being lost in another world.’ We feel that you should have your own world. And, all of us at WorldOfTarot®.com have always wanted to be able to have our own WorldOfTarot®. So, we built it. In fact, we plan to keep building it. Like any other world or community it is always in a state of development.
We want WorldOfTarot®.com to be a democratic model for making business decisions and working together to meet the common needs of its users and workers. WorldOfTarot®.com is our idea of coming together to form a meeting and working place involving like minds. And, in our mind, as this happens we know that WorldOfTarot®.com will become a world that is truly created by our community.

Student Ownership
Student Memberships allow students to join for a yearly non-refundable fee of $25.00. You must show proof of being a student. This can often be more beneficial and cost-effective in the short term for transitory individuals, compared to the cost of the ownership plan. Student members enjoy the benefits of owners, but do not have some rights as a Premium Owner, or vote on ownership issues. This includes students of our WorldOfTarot® Academy.
WorldOfTarot® Owner
For as little as $100, this level of ownership is good for the owner's lifetime. We also have payment options for those who wish to pay in installments.
- One share of voting stock.
- The right to vote in the yearly ownership meeting.
- Get first option on any works you submit for publishing consideration.
- Once a month 3% discount on all purchases. This can be used on any day of the month.
- Option to participate on the forum as a moderator.

Co-operative identity
Wikipedia says: "Cooperatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy and equality. In the tradition of their founders, cooperative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others. Such legal entities have a range of unique social characteristics. Membership is open, meaning that anyone who satisfies certain non-discriminatory conditions may join. Economic benefits are distributed proportionally according to each member's level of participation in the cooperative, for instance by a dividend on sales or purchases, rather than divided according to capital invested. Cooperatives may be generally classified as either consumer cooperatives or producer cooperatives. Cooperatives are closely related to collectives, which differ only in that profit-making or economic stability is placed secondary to adherence to social-justice principles."
Becoming a Worker-Owner
Any owner interested in becoming more involved with the co-op may join our Worker-Owner Volunteer program. This gives all owners the opportunity to work on the website, performing tasks such as web design, tarot readings, forum monitor, writing and editing. All jobs must be approved in advance before given tasks.
As a worker-owner, you will receive a co-op orientation and individualized training. A monthly schedule will be created that fits your lifestyle and desired number of work-hours per month. Volunteering in this program enables your discount to be increased by up to 0.5% each time you shop with us which is a significant financial benefit! This agreement does require the commitment of a minimum of 4 hours a month and we request your sincere dedication to the program should you choose to participate.
